Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, professionally known as Kcee, is a renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter celebrated for his contributions to the Afrobeat and highlife genres. Born on April 18, 1979, in Amaputu, Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria, Kcee’s musical journey began in the early 2000s. He first gained prominence as one half of the hip-hop duo KC Presh, alongside his partner Precious John. The duo achieved success after winning the Star Quest TV reality show, which opened doors to significant opportunities in the Nigerian music industry.
After parting ways with Precious John, Kcee embarked on a solo career that solidified his status in the Nigerian music scene. He signed a record deal with Five Star Music, a label co-owned with his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money.
