Didi B, born Bassa Zéréhoué Diyilem on April 3, 1992, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, is a prominent Ivorian rapper and songwriter. His parents, Abou Bassa Bomou, a pianist and arranger, and Feue Péhoula Zéréhoué, a choreographer and dancer, influenced his early exposure to the arts.
Didi B began his artistic journey at a young age, appearing in music videos such as Meiway’s “Death Society” at three. At ten, he starred in Paul Madys’ music video “ARRETEZ,” marking his entry into acting. He later played the lead role in the UNICEF-produced TV series “Les Frères Kadogo,” which won multiple awards, including Best Fiction at FESPACO.
In 2009, Didi B co-founded the rap group Kiff No Beat, gaining significant recognition in the Ivorian music scene. He launched his solo career in 2013 with the album “Mojo Trône Vol.1.” In 2021, he signed with 92i Africa, a label founded by French rapper Booba, and released successful singles like “YPLD,” “DIYILEM,” and “Big Boss.” His 2022 album “Mojotrône II: History” achieved over 50 million streams and sold more than 10,000 CDs, earning a gold certification.
