D’banj, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur known for his energetic performances and fusion of Afrobeats, pop, and dance music. He gained fame in the mid-2000s with hits like Tongolo, Why Me, and Oliver Twist, the latter becoming an international hit. A co-founder of Mo’Hits Records alongside Don Jazzy, D’banj played a key role in popularizing Afrobeats globally. After Mo’Hits disbanded in 2012, he pursued a solo career, collaborating with international artists. Beyond music, he is also a businessman and brand ambassador, influencing the Nigerian entertainment industry.
