Nigerian Afro-fusion artist Burna Boy has recently released a new single titled “Update.” The track, which dropped on February 21, 2025, is a vibrant blend of Afrobeat rhythms and contemporary sounds. Notably, “Update” samples the iconic 1989 hit “Back to Life” by Soul II Soul, infusing it with Burna Boy’s unique style.
The song has been well-received, with its energetic music video directed by UAX. This release serves as a teaser for Burna Boy’s upcoming eighth studio album, “No Sign of Weakness.”
