Esegine Allen, popularly known as Orezi, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter celebrated for his contributions to the Afrobeat and dancehall genres. Born on March 28, 1986, in Delta State, Nigeria, he gained widespread recognition with his 2013 hit single “Rihanna,” which propelled him into the Nigerian music spotlight.
Orezi was raised in Owhelogbo, Isoko, Delta State, as the first of five children. He attended Command Secondary School in Abakaliki and later graduated from the University of Lagos, completing the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program thereafter. Orezi’s music career commenced in 2009. His debut single, “I No Fit Lie,” became notable as Radio Continental’s theme song. Over the years, he has collaborated with various producers and artists, including Kiddominant, Del B, Davido, Wizkid, and Timaya.
In 2015, he released his debut album, The Ghen Ghen Album, featuring collaborations with artists like 9ice, Flavour, Ice Prince, M.I Abaga, and Timaya. The album showcased his versatility and solidified his position in the Nigerian music industry.
